Posted this a while ago but only just got around to reading it. Absolutely superb The range of people he's met and spent time with is honestly ridiculously impressive, and he's got a real knack for using those anecdotes for helping you understand the bigger sociological causes of what makes China and its people.
Just finished this. Follows a high school debate champion and his parents and touches on toxic masculinity etc. Less than 300 pages so fairly quick read.

Divorce papers imminent.

Weird, pointed centrism
The Strike books are naff but an easy enough read. Rowling really should've just put the pen down at the end of the Deathly Hallows and retired quietly.

Just started this. Book starts with Trump being notified of the Covid outbreak. He's actually surprisingly well informed on it but determined not to cause panic according to the author.
I believe he wrote a book a few years ago where trump refused him access and he hammered him so this time around Trump gave him 17 hours of interviews for some reason.
Got it for a quid on the kindle, it's highly rated on goodreads.
Currently reading theb5th book in the magelands epic by Christopher Mitchell. He was living in Edinburgh while writing these books and a lot of place names are Edinburgh places.
Mind you, even without that fact, the books are still a really enjoyable read.
