Watching Barnsley vs Swansea.

Toby Siddick looking very decent on the right side of a back three. Also Styles left midfield who Stendel wanted to bring here.

Both contracted til 2023, so no chance. And both now first team regulars.

Alex Mowatt the Barnsley captain out of contract next month though. CMF. 26. Dual English Scottish nationality. Probably more a Celtic level target but would be some sign of intent to go for him. Better than handing Motherwell a big development fee for Campbell.

No idea who he is but I can tell you we’re not signing the club captain of a team in the Championship play offs Zlat

Im sure the captain of a promotion-chasing Championship club would jump at the chance of about £4k per week at a newly promoted Scottish club Heh

A search shows that likely salaries for Mowatt and Dunne respectively are £5,500 and £6,700 a week.

I wouldn't be surprised if freeing the salaries of Berra, Naismith and Damour covers that.

Neilson says a smaller higher quality squad.

TBH it's all football manager stuff. This week might start to see names come out. I expect Ginnelly the first. Has to be better than that Livi keeper.

We'll just go for that Dunfermline lad they loaned out to Airdrie. Turner. Then everybody's happy.

Forget Mowatt. Kickback says we're being linked with bringing Ross Callachan back.

Phew. That's CMF sorted.

He’s too busy dribbling pish about takeaways in The Shed these days, isn’t he?

Jake Hastie, Rangers, out of contract.

Shanye Lavery, Linfield, CF.

According to chat over the road.

Actually would be OK with both as squad additions. It's CM and CH we need real quality first team additions.

Was Hastie any good at Motherwell last season? Looked good before his Rangers move, and has a bit of pace, so it probably wouldn't hurt.

No doubting would be a gamble. Awesome at Motherwell first time. Goals. Assists. Pace.

Ever since Rangers and loan moves back to Motherwell and Rotherham, pretty poor.

But there's a player in there.
