I agree. Someone like Partick or most likely Raith with McGlynn. He has Gino, GMS, Woodburn and now McKay ahead of him.

When a manager publicly calls out your fitness its game over. Walker has ability but his body has failed him. Looks as though an element of it is deemed to be down to application, which is ridiculous for a professional footballer.

Good enough in the championship but glad we’ve improved in that position.

He’ll get a team no bother I think.

I like Walker. He’s not got the pace to be a first pick for us but a decent squad player.

Scored over 50 goals for us so don’t get the hate for him.    Jezza

I don't think anybody hates him. As you say, he's a squad player at best these days.

Walker is FINNISH. Leave it, his next move will be Raith or Falkirk.

When you're 27 and your manager publicly questions your fitness it ain't ideal. When he signs 4 players who play in your role it's not exactly a ringing endorsement.

I'd never of brought him back. That we did shows the limitations of Murray and Levein.

Doesn't mean I "hate" him though! The wonders of binary choice in the modern world. Entrenched in either extreme and nowhere inbetween!

Agree with all of this, would never have brought him back, but he’s done a job when needed last season. Won’t be sad to see him go at the end of the day either. Monty Oh Well

Remains to be seen how good this window has actually been but there at least seems to be some logic behind each signing rather than the Wyscout specials.

Baningime looks a real find, Ginnelly was always worth a permanent deal, and I think Cochrane has been a good, solid addition. Too early to say about the others.

Walker peaked in 2017, that brace against Rangers was probably him at his career-best. Good for the odd goal off the bench but likely bound for the Championship once his deal is up.

Ross County and St Mirren would bite your hand off for Walker imo.

That's the beauty of it, the less he plays the less chance people have to realise he's done. Get a wee bit of dirty coin for him, even if it's 20 grand it's money.
