Cochrane was the worst player on the pitch by a mile in the first half. Fair enough maybe levelled out with the rest of the team after that when we decided we were doing nothing but defending but he was shocking today. Should never have made it back out for the second when we had Halliday on the bench.

Exactly the change I’d have made at half time, fuck, I’d not even have started Cochrane ahead of Halliday.

Send him back to Brighton, not good enough.

Aye I’d have started Halliday too but could understand why he didn’t. Either way it was an obvious sub that should have been made at half time to save his blushes but could have been made after 25 minutes if you were feeling brutal.

Really, really need a reality check on the loan signings of boys nowhere near the grade in England next year.

Don’t really think any player today needs singled out tbh but maybe will think different on second viewing. You ken what you’re getting with Cochrane, he shouldn’t have been starting in a cup final but here we are.

Not against bringing him back next season but we’ve relied on him way too much this season as a starter, don’t want to be in that position next season.

If you’re not ready to comment on his performance, what is the point in your post Warnock

I just said I don’t think any player deserves to be singled out for their performance.  That includes Alex Cochrane because he was a player on the pitch today Sound

I was just trying to be polite, I have no intentions of watching the game again.

OK so what is your point then? You can do your nicey nicey routine of not wanting to be mean about anyone, but maybe leave the threads that are specifically about individual players alone for the rest of us to discuss those players?

Ok so my point is I don’t think any player deserved to be singled out for their performance today, for the fourth time. Specifically in regards to Cochrane since it’s the Alex Cochrane thread and I was talking about Cochrane.

I then went on to say I’d actually not be against seeing him back next season (because he’s on loan and it’s the end of the season so usually a good time to discuss whether you want to see players back or not) but I don’t want to see him playing left wing back if Kingsley is still around and would be more suited to a squad role rather than starting most weeks.

Hopefully you’ve got the jist of it now but I can type it out again if you need me to. I think 4 times is probably enough though.

Couple of assists there. That pass to McKay was superb.

Didn’t mind us buying Cochrane as a squad player. Only 22 so room for improvement

Yeah, would like to think we could get better but we probably won't. Thus, will hope that he continues to improve.

Was impressive tonight - showed more going forward than he has previously, from what I've seen.

Had a good game. Liked a wee diag which was working brilliant first half.

Over his Hearts career true, but give him his due this season, he’s stepped it up and has been one of our better players every game.

Still a young man. Nice to see some development in a player rather than the usual regression we typically oversee

Very impressed this season tbh. Tonight and Hibs away have been his best games in a hertz shirt
