Anybody bought somebody one of those track days before? How does it compare to karting and what was better if you’ve done both

Good question Kash, was wondering about this as a potential birthday party outing for son and mates.

It wasn't even that deep. I'd just watched this episode of taskmaster today and thought it was a direct reference.

I got it for my Christmas a few years ago. It was at Knockhill. You get a few laps with the expert showing you the lines not to take compared with the correct lines. Then you're out on your own. 7 laps. If you bin it then thats it over. Luckily I didn't as they tell you to warm the tyres and brakes on your 1st lap before you push. Loads didn't. It was decent but I would've been gutted if I'd paid as I didn't think I got long enough. Same as go-karts. Overpriced. I think its to do with concentration tbh. I'd do it again but i'd want someone else to pay for it. Warnock

The sheer amount of stress I find myself under trying to think of presents for people is unbelievable. It ruins Christmas for me tbf. Then I forget about people I should be buying something for because I'm too wrapped up in trying to think of presents for other people I should be buying presents for. Can't handle it like.

Buying presents for adults Wiggo

In the fortunate position that I’m in my late 20s and middle class so there aren’t any bastard weans running around shittea

We usually just do a secret Santa across whoever’s going to be there - chuck c. 50 sheets at it so you’ll both buy and sell exactly one nice gift and you can minimise the wastage of the rest of the tat you’d otherwise end up with.

I do a Christmas spreadsheet so I know what I’m getting who and from where, start looking around September so plenty time to put a bit of thought in and grab the occasional bargain.

All shopping was done and wrapped a couple of weeks ago so I can now enjoy hot chocolates and slide tackles stress free  Greggy
