That's a solid first signing tbf.

I’m sure I read that Japanese guy doesn’t fancy hertz and wants to stay at his club.

Other clubs certainly making moves. Wonder if we’ll go for anything other than the Aussie RB Eek

Think the three of them have all been confirmed and announced now.

Seems we’re doing the same thing as them in scouring the A-League and J-League for hidden gems. Wee bit of a question mark if we’re going to get hold of the boys to really challenge the OF when the Celtic manager knows both leagues better than our scouts IMO Eek

They are going to have more cash than us and better scouts in every area we look tbh Oh Cleese If we find a guy that fits the team then great. I'm not hugely convinced by this market though, the cultural differences are just too much. A few of the timmys will be flops.

Who is our scout/contact for the players we’re looking at in Australia? Does savage have links there?

Aye that’s it for me. Devlin has been a good signing but how many other punts from Australia have worked in Scotland compared to the flops?

Kyogo obviously looks class but he was tearing it up in Japan and a full international who they paid a few million for, it’s a very different story to hoping someone with a handful of appearances comes over here and hits the ground running. Fine for the occasional signing but it can’t be a key market, especially when we might need to replace most of the spine of our team.

It used to be Dave McPherson but hope to fuck we've moved on from that Laugh

Every chance Devlin has recommended the RB tbf.

We better be signing at least one 'silky' player with all that money being pumped in.
Some folk are just happy to get a hearts top with their name in tiny writing.

Can see Newcastle with Trippier, Aubameyang and Martial to kick things off.

Coutinho and James Rodriguez must be gasping for some Saudi blood money too.

Agreed. Sign a player that gets folk off their seats.

A player that gets folk buying seats would be a decent idea as well.

I went to a few J-League matches a while back and the standard is pretty low in general. Any decent Japanese player is usually identified and snapped up very early on and the foreigners are almost exclusively total journeymen. Same with the K-League. I don't think either Japan (or Korea) is a market we should really be in with our resources.

Said that the other day.
Anyone that we're looking at that Celtic aren't.. probably isn't going to be up to much.
I see they've signed another 2 from that part of town.

It’s a strange thing to see young Scottish players are the in demand thing in Europe at the moment, can’t remember it ever being the case Laugh

We've definitely benefited as football has turned into who has the best stamina stats rather than skill.
