Do they all still have Jimmy Saville looking managers? Always the slick back white hair with the open white shirt stuck to their back with sweat.

Neither did I, and most of this game I had on in the background, but watching PSG instead.

Hopefully both Liverpool strikers will be knackered and the scouse will bomb in the CL.

The most convoluted trophy presentation I've ever seen Warnock

Infantino taking Koulibaly away from the other players, up a flight of stairs to hand him the trophy in front of dignitaries before Koulibaly has to go all the way back down and across to the team for the big lift Laugh

Aye that would have been his plan. Embarrassing leadership for the captain and best player to send two young inexperienced guys up in front of to try to make it all about himself, and just ending up making them scapegoats Warnock

Not quite sure why Floyd has neggied me for that post mind Laugh

Salah is a good guy and has led his country through tough times already. 4th and 5th are the biggest pressure penalty kicks. Miscalculated, but spinning it that he his some sort of machivellian, glory-hunting coward is weird.

Was likely the managers decision anyway, i'm sure they would've decided the pen list before the match, not off the cuff.

Is it a Liverpool thing with you? Klopp the fraud and now Salah the 'coward'.  Oh Cleese

Nah I quite like Salah, seems a good bloke but was pleased Egypt lost. Their manager seems a total bell and their tactics were a disgrace - probably the most resources of any team there (and the best player) and they were wasting time and playing for pens from kick off in every knockout game Monty Ooh

Think the idea of saving your best player til late in the shootout is fine if you’ve got a bunch of confident takers, but as soon as you know you’re going second there’s a decent chance the 5th taker doesn’t get used. When there’s such a drop off in experience you’ve got to send your main man up first, mental to see Salah standing on halfway while boys with half a dozen caps went forward visibly shitting themselves Laugh

Think Ronaldo did the same thing for Portugal at a tournament a while ago, never a great look.

True, Salah will be kicking himself that he didn't take the 2nd or 3rd pen for sure.

On the other hand mane’s 5th pen wins it for Senegal and there’s probably no one else you’d want hitting it in that situation. Your top players either go first or last just didn’t work out for Egypt this time. Think calling him a coward is a bit far Heh
