We're building a decent team here, if we can sign a couple of decent attacking central midfielders we'll be a force to reckon with.
Apparently, that doesn't fit with Robbie's formation though... Sounds like utter bollocks to me.

Decent

No complaints with that result another win on Tuesday and we should skoosh third.
Was Souttar carrying an injury? Didn't notice anything at half time, wouldn't be surprised if we've received an improved bid from Rangers during our game.

Offside chance aside, Woodburn looked good. Looked up for it and happy to be on the pitch.
First half was pish. Two great goals

Never watched game as was out for a meal but following this thread we sounded pish first half but got job done.
As bad as Hibs are I'm just never confident with Neilson at the wheel in a big game. Always shites it for at least 45 minutes.

Some absolutely horrendous shouts in this match thread. All of Scott's posts as usual, Tibbs being tibbs and then morph rocks in and tries to destroy simms after just 90 mins of football across two games.
Hearts were pretty awful first half, almost as bad as we we were first half at fir park, exactly the same problem over run by their midfield three. Robbie doesn't do changing things though obvs. We should have started 4-3-1-2, and give our midfield three the chance to control the ball. The goal came from about 12 mistakes in a row by both teams, good finish by the best player on the park. We were much better second half and Devlin made the second brilliantly doing what he does best. He's had way too much stick the last two games. Should have been three and much more comfy if Boyce squares his chance rather than trying to round the keeper then cut it back. Half decent performance and a win on Tuesday almost guarantees 8 games in Europe.

Taylor Moore is shite btw.

I really like the look of Simms. Good movement, willing to chase down defenders and wins headers. Just a bit of a handful for defenders and keeps them occupied. Sometimes takes too long to get his feet sorted but he's not had much first team football in his career so sure that'll come. Him and Boyce could be a good combo with Baz and the wingbacks feeding them.

I'll be honest, so far Simms has been meh! Devlin was mostly shite again today, bar the pass in for Boyce. Atkinson was decent, and Woodburn good on the ball. Toby, fair enough. Halliday probably rightly got MoM. Who else was out there, ahh Beni, thank fuck for him.
Anyway, Hearts barely ventured out of third, that was all they needed.

I think Simms could probably give you a 2:1 games to goals ratio in this league without ever doing anything that special.
Woodburn actually looked like he could play the day but he's got no chin, so it's hard to like the guy.

Also - a blind man could see he has linked up well with other attackers. Not to mention already scoring.
Okay, chances are he ends up like all the other English loanees we get, but he has had a decent start.

You're talking absolute nonsense tbh, I wasn't slating Simms at all and wouldn't say he was bad first half just didn't think he was that involved in the game enough to say he was good. Delighted he got his goal though and hope he can continue down the same lines going forward. |
