My long-held political views and the rigidity and self-assuredness that I express them will continue unabated, to the annoyance of many. GodIsGod

As for Alba, I don't know their policies beyond SNP1 Alba 2 but for sure, Kenny Mac can win my heart, that's not even a discussion. Heart

On a serious note, I have a hunch that they have stopped the Yes movement from irreversibly fracturing. They have shored up the SNP constinuency vote this term and placated a lot of folk who have done the long hours for independence but feeling increasingly sidelined.  They will become the 2nd largest party by members in Scotland and I'd expect Joanna Cherry to take over the leadership in the medium/long term. Anyone hoping they are going to go away is giving their mind a treat.
I'm nailing my colours to the mast on here early doors and saying that those shitting the bed about all this are wrong to do so. Grudging acceptance is fine, god knows we have all held our nose for so many parties in the past, but the toys out the pram stuff is enjoyable schadenfruede.

Importantly, when Boris rejects the application for Scottish referendum, there are going to be people in Holyrood with real teeth who will be liasing with the grassroots for mass demonstrations.

To think how much we miss him even now.

I think we had a minutes silence in French class when the news of his death came through.

This is the biggest part for me - it looks like Indy doesn't have enough support to get over the line at this point if a referendum is held early in the new parliament.

Surely not when 11% are likely to change their mind and Yes voters are more likely to switch, though? Eek

So they're wildly unpopular, but just popular enough with the right amount of awful people to make everything shit?

Aye, but enough about Scott & Lewy, what do you think of the Alba Party?
