I managed to get in behind by pulling out the dishwasher (it sits next to the washing machine) although the back left foot caught the lino but think I can cut the snagging bit away without it being obvious when I put it back in.  Socket seems fine, and anyway, I used a long extension cord out of a socket from a differnt circuit/loop.  Same thing! Thinking its perhaps the heating element/temp switch in the washing machine that's throwing it but dunno really, need to run the dishwasher again, and if it trips then well fuck me, no idea!!

We did have combi-boiler replaced in Nov so was wondering if there is already a residual overload that doesn't take much to trip it when one of these two appliances are on. BUt it trips no mattre which loop I connect the washing machine up to.  Jezza

Combi isn’t gonna cause much in additional loads they’re usually less than 3amps. If it’s tripping different circuits then it will usually be the appliance that’s causing it rather than a wiring fault.

Thanks for the reassurance; after my set of tests, figured it was most likely the appliance so just need to wait for Sat's delivery.

That's another seethe, trying to work out a replacement, all seem to do the same thing but to varying degrees of compentency, well according to the smorgasborg of reviews. Why doesn't some company just do a machine that has three basic settings, hell even one ... Chuck them it mode!! Monty Oh Well

Have they not billed you for that much time? Happened to my ma and sure she got away with not paying for anything older than 12 months.

I've had something like a £20 direct debit per month, so tbf I did expect the house of cards to come tumbling down at some point. Heh

For some reason energy companies have convinced themselves that my penthouse gaff doesn't exist or something. My address on the Bulb website is something like "J Smart Contractors, [street] Development Phase B". I've previously sent them meter readings and they've never registered them.

I had a similar issue with Scottish Power whereby I effectively got two years' electricity for the price of one because they never billed me (despite my asking) and (iirc) OFGEM regulations say that you can't be back-billed for more than 12 months.

Come to think of it, those same regulations might well apply here. Tony Hmm

I'm sure you can't be billed any more than a year. It happened to me a few years ago with my gas bill. 3 years with no bill. It all got sorted easily and I only had 1 year rather than 3 to pay.
