Quote:Labour MPs opposed to a second referendum are considering a “radical and dramatic intervention†to make clear to Jeremy Corbyn and Boris Johnson they are prepared to vote for a Brexit deal, with one estimating that dozens of colleagues are now ready to back the withdrawal agreement.

I wonder what his father who was a former EU Commissioner, his mother who was a former MEP, his wife who was a former MEP and Prime Minister of a country in the EU, think of it all?

Johnson's latest offer to the EU re. Ireland is one they can only reject. It can only reasonably be assumed it's been offered with the intention that it should be rejected and Johnson can spin the line that the EU are being unreasonable.

Tbf, he's got most of the minor parties in league to work against no-deal in parliament and has put the more fanciful idea that they'll install him as emergency PM to the backburner. It might not work, but it's the most realistic plan of action he's attempted in quite some time. |
