When my phone is on the desk, or my bedside table, or next to me on the couch, or on the dinner table, or in a meeting, the camera is pointing directly to the ceiling. I tend to unlock it in all of these scenarios using my finger.
You want to add facial recognition as an alternative unlock method? Fine. But don't get hamstrung by technology you can't implement then pretend you never wanted it anyway. But they've done that and you're lapping it right up

VS literally can not read his screen unless it's 6 inches from his face. Probably holds his phone with one hand and types with the opposite index finger.

Fair enough, can't say I've ever unlocked my phone without wanting to look at it after.

Why are you trying so hard to convince yourself it's the best thing ever? It's so laughably shite
I can see the benefit of it. There's plenty times I'd use a face unlock over a fingerprint, it's the whole presenting it as like for like replacement and they've removed the TouchID as if that's what they always had in mind that's clearly bullshit. If they could've had both in the same phone then they would've. You'll probably find a fingerprint scanner under the glass or on the back of the phone on the next iPhone and wet your pants at the innovation.

You can scan in your doublechin so it can pick that up to. I'm pretty sceptical of the cameras FOV though yeah. Doubt it's as wide as my peripheral vision.
It's you trying to convince yourself that everyone thinks it's the best thing ever by the looks of it. Most folk just don't see the drama in looking at your phone to use it

You can just unlock it with your 4 digit code like you can at the moment.
