Because we won the fucking war mate, tell them to fuck off†to be fair the staff were polite enough just not very attentive, the chefs have obviously upped there game a little since your visit franco as the pizza was bang on, maybe not quite paesano but as close to it as I've had in Edinburgh-it's not my memory playing tricks as I tried both in past week(was at paesano on weds before a gig) Went to Aurora on junction street this morning for some brunch- veggie breakfast with falafel sausages was decent

Think it might be 20% off for next week too. Had a few negative reviews already. One from someone cos he didn't get extra free bread. Another because they'd run out of what he/she ordered. Maybe more a desire to announce you've been?

Took my dad's elderly cousin out for sunday lunch at the paper mill last sunday. Perfect location for that actually.
Why do no bars or restaurants ever manage to properly roast potatoes? Roast chicken with veg, was fine, yorkshire pudding was good, potatoes were undercooked and anaemic. Was £16 or £18 for the roast as well. Quite stingy chicken portion for that, so was left thinking would have been better having the chicken breast with barley for £11. Was fine though for a family meal.

My mates go on about it all the time but I've never really been that impressed tbh. Breakfast is shite and costs about a tenner. Decent pint of blue moon though.

Actually cooking the potatoes for starters. Don't know why I ever order a roast in a pub as they are invariably shite.

I think it's a chain but it's decent food if you're into Mexican. There's another wee independent Mexican opposite Mcewan hall that's pretty good as well. Both of them are aimed towards “small plates†rather than a big meal though.

If only there was a word for "small plates" in Spanish.

adjectives come after a noun, Drederick.

I wouldn't say it's tapas, you should go and see for yourself when you're back though. Both are pretty good.

Aye it's definitely not tapas
Leave that to Cafe Andaluz

The one at Mcewan Hall is quirky enough for a date to make her think you know all about “the good food spotsâ€.
Thank me once you're knee deep in impressionable fanny

Did Wahaca not have to shut a lot of branches because of an E. coli outbreak recently?
Only been once but think the food was pretty decent. Best Mexican places in Edinburgh are still the old ones on Cockburn Street/the Royal Mile though (11-22-2018, 03:15 PM)Gregory Wrote: adjectives come after a noun, Drederick. And they need to agree with the nouns

The one on Cockburn Street is superb, those margaritas
Basement Bar at the top of Broughton Street does a decent Mexican, had lunch/brunch in there the other week, the brunch burrito was superb. |
