That's probably true, but I'd add that he's not a big enough character to go in and sort the dressing room at a club that size. Seems to be doing a great job at Stoke; who'd have thought he'd last trying to play football after the Pulis years? It sounded like a relegation waiting to happen when he took over.

I'll admit I had written Stoke off when Hughes took over, but they have been a good match for each other. It's a similar team to what he had with Blackburn, who gradually fell apart after he left (not helped by taking Santa Cruz to City, where he stopped giving a shit). I doubt he'll be trusted at the top tier again, though.

I think Stoke, as a club, are really underrated. Pretty sure their owner is the guy that set up Bet365 and they're loaded. They've got a decent stadium and it's always full so they can be consistent in their spending. Pulis to Hughes was a really good move to take them to the next level.
See that Bojan booking for diving, was it just or did he not actually claim for a penalty at all? Â Looked to me like he tripped more than anything and just got back up and played on.Â

I thought that as well but they didn't exactly spend much time on the replay. When the ref blew the whistle he was already on his feet chasing. Shite decision, like handballs are only cards if they're intentional you can't book a guy for diving if he's made no effort to actually con the referee.
