Passed at 17, first time. Can't even mind what minors, think a couple.
Getting to drive my dad's A4 at the time. Happy days.

You could only fail in VS' day if you bumped the man holding the red flag in front of you.

Failed the first time, instructor had to do an emergency stop when a truck came around a bend. I contend I beat him to it so shouldn't have failed. No minors.
Passed the second time; two minutes in to the test turned down a one way street and rolled up behind the bin men. Puttered behind it for twenty-five minutes and off to do a manoeuvre and that was that as there's a time limit on the test.

Acey and Picard seem to be forgetting they're in their 30's too

Congratulations Picard.
Passed first time aged 20 with a couple minors, I'd done 10 lessons for my 17th birthday and was recommended for my test back then but my lack of motivation at that age was frankly embarrassing.

Just got my company car from the work.
Well, when I say car.....what I actually mean is Isuzu D-Max Still, brand new, no income tax (business only) due, heated seats and carplay.

Why you need a pickup?

Just sold my car. Gearbox bearings had collapsed, and the battery was dead. Would've cost ~£1500 to fix it all (plus its £240 tax is due on 31/8), so decided to just bin it.
Might have to join the scrub-club of not owning the car you drive. Should add: sold it to one of those car-buying outfits. Made me a Rangers-unsettling-my-star-player-esque derisory offer, then as soon as I said "no" they immediately bumped it up by £400. Charlatans.

2012 1.6 turbo Astra GTC.
Don't really need a car at the moment, and certainly can't justify an expensive one. Will probably wait until Mrs Acey learns to drive and then share something a bit more utilitarian. Bit early for my midlife crisis, so won't be springing for an Audi TT just yet.
