The bottom ones are nothing like Kickers. Assuming you're getting a "wallaby" vibe from them?
A moccasin vibe yeah. They look better from above though.

Probably because you can see they're not squared off. Stitching is neater/tighter than the moc as well. Not a fan of the suede upper, but it would be covered by jeans.
Going to check the shops just but I'm not hopeful. Big muckle footwear seems to be the order of the day.

Agreed. I'm looking for something not so formal though.
I dunno Rog. You've obviously got your style, just as Scott has his (for example), and I have mine. I don't like boots, only have a single pair of black nu-buck high tops. Still have a pair of brown DM 9(or was in 12) hole boots in a cupboard that I haven't touched in 20 yrs. I did however used to wear DM shoes brown in my younger years, a lot, which went with the corduroy jacket. Still have a couple of pairs of Clark wallabies and a no-brand equivalent, which I got 15 yrs ago and which is still my favourite pair. Otherwise I've always owned a pair of Stan Smiths for kicking about where it doesn't matter, a couple of pairs of NBs or the like, for daily pounding of various city streets, and always a good pair of outdoor walking/cross-training runners. Horses for courses and all that.
Since you asked about the last ones, I personally wouldn't give them a second look.
