Liverpool fans planning a 77th minute walk out in protest at an increase in some ticket prices.

77 quid is absolutely outrageous for a game of football tbf
Heard wenger trying to justify the ticket prices despite the massive TV deal yesterday. absolute joke.

What did Wenger say?
£77 is surely unsustainable. Particularly as more and people twig that they can sit at home and watch any EPL game for free online.

He said that now the Chinese are splashing the cash players will be more expensive so the tv deal isn't enough

I'm sitting here watching the rugby from the Stade de France ... have my choice of EPL games but just not interested; wouldn't even bother with what's on offer the now even if I was baked. Bar the excitement of the actual goals Leicester (because they were doing City at their place, conceded Mahrez and Huth's second were quality) that game was generally shite imo. There must be a fair amount of folks around where money isn't an issue.

How much of a fucking jammie wearer would you need to be to buy an Aguero v Vardy scarf FFS?

Mourinho looks a stick on for Man Utd next season. The only real fit IMO. If they weren't willing to give it to Giggs (why would they now Pep's at City) they had to go for a big name, and there's not many available.
Man Utd need success fast, or at least to be competitive fast. I think they need that more than a long term plan TBH. Mourinho pretty much guarantees that and comes with the bonus of having extra motivation to beat Chelsea, Liverpool and now City. Plus an incredible record against Arsenal. Most of the fans would be happy at the appointment. It's a bit of a myth that Mourinho doesn't play attacking football. The biggest issue will be what he does with Mata. A fans favourite at Old Trafford but clearly not valued massively by Mourinho.

And they've spent plenty: I think, contrary to the hilariously self-important Hibernian way bullshit from their Chairman, they've gambled on going up this season given the fortunes on offer from 2016/17, and they have to act if so. Hope Clement gets a decent gig elsewhere. He's got plenty of potential. |
