A lot of the younger boys might be at their own tournament with the 21s. Despite Vieiri saying they are shite and Sheffield United are one of the best teams in England.

Good one. I agree with SJ that there's time before the tournament for some of the younger boys like Gilmour, Hickey, Campbell, Ferguson, (maybe even Turnbull) etc. to get in the squad if they're playing well consistently. You wanted Turnbull starting for the main squad when he can't get in the starting line up for the 21s (or Celtic)

Not starting, don't be silly. We agreed that Fleck isn't the answer now?
Speak to any Celtic fan (don't really, it's a fucking horrible experience) and they slaughter Lennon for not giving Turnbull a chance, he sticks with his favourites.
Anyway I'd like to see a few of the young guys like Gilmour, Turnbull and Ferguson go to the tournament as it would be an invaluable experience but we'll see who's in form at the time. Still maintain a lot of these guys need to be in and about the first team asap. That's the only way we are going to keep the progress going. I hope Clarke doesn't fall into the Craig Brown trap and stick with the old guard forever.
21s on the verge of the Euros for the first time since 96 as well. It's a tremendous time for the jocks.

If you don't want to take him to the euros then ok, but this "NO SUPRISE WE HAVE BEEN GOOD SINCE FORREST GOT INJURED" is the worst take ever.
The harsh reality is that we probably have to bin Considine Mclean Paterson because they aren't that good. Even though they are tremendous guys.
McBurnie should be the first out the door. Pish player but Clarke is in love for some reason. Griffiths will end up kicking his heels at home while this no socked cunt runs about liked a heedless chicken.

Forrest does my head in, he was very good in the initial Nations League games I can't deny that but I think he's been a waste of a jersey ever since in a Scotland jersey (and beforehand tbh). Headless chicken with no end product. Maybe he'll end up better in this system but I'm just so tired of watching him run down the wing blindly and losing the ball or wasting a cross.
Fraser and Christie are massive improvements for me in the same position, and I would probably play Armstrong ahead of him right now as well.

The answer to what? Not sure I (or anyone else) would ever refer to John Fleck as 'the answer'. He had a good season last year in the EPL and at that point in time deserved to be in the squad. I think we fundamentally agree on who should be in the squad, and whether it's Fleck or Turnbull in that last midfielder position it probably won't make much difference as they're unlikely to get much game time.
Campbell at Motherwell is a player who doesn't get the recognition he deserves IMO. Very good player whenever I've seen him.

I just can't believe how wrong you are about Forrest for Scotland. He's been better than all the other players until they had this triple header were Clarke could shape these guys into an actual system. Forrest has been injured for all of this phase unfortunately. Genuinely the last player you could criticise playing for Scotland during those days. Madness.
Forrest, fraser, Christie and Armstrong can all play behind the striker and you would be fairly happy. If dykes is injured though you'd almost think about changing the formation
