One of the best days ever!
Secured my then 11 year old brother a ticket on the morning of the game and my mother foolishly let me take him.
I'm sure at the time she thought it would be a good idea as Parkhead wasn't that far away from Rutherglen, until we arrived back home at 2am on Sunday morning after going to Edinburgh to celebrate.
I was absolutely blazing and my brother was stinking of booze, but sober, and we were both singing Hearts songs on the way up the street terrorising the neighbours as she described it.
I don't think she's ever really forgiven me for it, especially as my old man was in the Rangers end that day and was raging when we got in as he was up for his work at 6am, and he didn't take too kindly to waking up next to a cardboard cutout of the cup with a Hearts scarf tied to it.
And to think that I always wondered why I wasn't the favourite.
