Pathetically lacking in composure and ambition on the try line, however at least three tackles where there was no attempt to use the arms from Ireland.

Is this ref Irish? Dont know enough about rugby but surely he's a homer?

Listened to it on the way up the road - sounded like we gave a good account of ourselves but again come away empty handed.
Same old sob story...
No rep, no problem

Bit sick and tired of the guid honest failure story TBH. Someone needs to hold these failures (at all levels) to account.
I can see it how - a guid honest go at Wales, France and England but we'll get beat. Either struggle against Italy or hammer them to get everyone believing again.

Pretty much every ex-pro is of the same opinion, you can't let him off just because he's our best player. If the coach tells you to ease up on the bevy in a training camp then you do so. He was given the Monday off training to recover from his club game on the Sunday, which you can't do properly hungover. In that situation you have to back the coach, or a bad precedent is set. Townsend should go. He probably should've gone after the World Cup. The SRU fucked up by getting rid of Cotter in the first place IMO. There's obviously bad blood between Russell and Townsend/the SRU over more than one thing, but in this situation the fault doesn't lie with Townsend.

I think the majority are on the side of Townsend here - no one is bigger than the team.
I expect Russell will be back - but given the positives taken from the performance against Ireland it's no surprise to see him keep the faith. The only change I might make would be Horne in for Price.

Price made some critical errors - Horne deserves his chance, easily the best scrum half Scotland have just now

Let the boy have a peeve if he's the best player then you need to give folk some leeway, the best always have an edge to them.
Bit like masel
