The four best players in the league are Silva, Aguero, Sanchez and Hazard IMO. I'd probably say Aguero is just ahead of the rest when they're all on top form, but I wouldn't be getting in an argument with anyone who disagrees; it's pretty close between them all.
Interesting that most of them seem to pick up injuries more often than the norm.

Most unlikely table toppers at this stage since Norwich 23 years ago. But Swansea are terrible. No better opponent for a side as breathtakingly good and direct on the counter as Leicester are than a footballing side who've lost all confidence and structure in their game. Monk has to go, and I think will within the next 9 days. Others might not get what you mean, but I do. In the first half of 2011/12, Manchester City played some of the best football I've ever seen in the Premier League. Best since the Arsenal Invincibles. Silva was absolutely integral to that, and looked completely unplayable. I've never, ever been as sold on him since. I think he disappears in difficult games, especially away from home; I also agree that he's too lightweight. Kompany, Toure, Aguero and Hart are far, far more important to them; and three of those four usually stand up to be counted. Silva? Not so much. And in a side whose attitude has, for me, always been in question, he is a luxury player at times, yes. Defensively, the Premier League is not very good. La Liga and Serie A are far, far stronger in that aspect. On his earlier showings, Silva had the ability to completely dominate this league. He hasn't.

Jermaine jenas is really good. He could be a good shout for the Neville role on sky where they get more time to go in depth.

Barclay has a bit of class about him. He could really kick in in the next season or so. Should be a main player for England in the summer.

I just thought he was on the slide but would still chip in with goals and influence things to a certain degree - he looks shot now though - so heavy legged its unreal. has some big decisions to make for next summer for his starting 11. Like you say, he is going to be fucking massive when he stops playing. |
