Just nicked down to the supermarket at 7am. Expected a nightmare but it was fine and I got everything I needed, including bog roll and hand wash.
No real restrictions in place other than the usual regarding limits on certain things and it was quiet. No queues and the only difference was I had to pack my own bags.

Think they need to be a specific thickness (PPF3 or something?) for the best protection, but hospital staff are using standard surgical masks still, so they must do something.

Ours at work and we were shown should set alarm bells off! I can't see how they could work. You are breathing in air all the time. Money making scheme more like.

The masks are just a prop, like look how seriously I'm taking it, I'm wearing a daft wee mask on my face, yeah, see ya.

Would rather get the virus than walk down the street looking like I'm on my way to perform open heart surgery, tbqh.

Keep getting this feeling coronavirus doesn't even exist, bit weird like but almost feel like this is some kind of experiment

You're some kind of experiment.

Trump must be due to make a mint off these masks if that's their new stance.

FFP3 and yeah they do the business but only if fitted correctly and you should be face fitted before using them to make sure they'll work. Also need to be clean shaven. I've seen loads of photos of doctors, nurses etc wearing face masks with the straps over their hood etc. Absolutely pointless, the mask should always be the last thing you take off. Problem with the paper mask is with prolonged use they get wet so shit will soak right through

My burd was getting fitted for hers the other day, I think they mould them to your face shape. The surgical masks at least give another barrier to the virus getting out if you are a carrier, so that's probably the thinking behind everyone wearing one.
