I think one of the problems is that the 'staff' at the FOH all work for free (hard to believe)
So on that premise, they all have more important things to do and don't really give a fuck.

FoH need to illustrate they're not utterly beholden to the club. The club are making incredibly bad decisions and are completely rudderless. The FoH have a duty to represent the wishes of their Members. If he feels unable to do that then he should be considering his own position. Levein was saying on the radio at FT that he fully expects Neilson to survive and to be in charge next season. Kilgour stated that fans won't tolerate that. Neilson interview after the game was pathetic. He clearly thinks the fans have only become pissed off at 9.45pm on Tuesday. So far removed from reality it's truly staggering. Budge is a stubborn old woman. She clearly despises the fans and treats us with complete contempt. FoH have a problem now because the rep of Federation of Hearts Supporters Clubs is calling out their inaction and lack of balls to confront Budge. Kilgour also saying a scheduled fans group meeting with Budge remains overdue. This isn't going to end well.

I'm all for the federation speaking out. There needs to be some group, with a known/recognisable name, speaking out against the regime and what they're up to.
Also absolutely no surprise to hear Budge delaying having meetings with supporters groups. Further evidence of the contempt she has for the fans.

It's all voluntary, something Stuart Wallace will gently highlight if you have the temerity to contact FoH. The concept of fan ownership is positive. Certainly from the position that we started from. Budge has never seen it as a stand alone enterprise. Instead she's appeared to perceive it as a cash cow that she can manipulate as she saw fit. The FoH need a radical overhaul. They need some gravitas. They need to behave and have people at the helm befitting of a body that's major shareholder in waiting of the 3rd club in this country.

Where is our chief executive during this?
I couldn't even tell you his name without googling him ffs, says it all to me.

He'll be a cunt, I know that without knowing his name.

Is it a failure of leadership on his part or does Budgie rule with an iron fist and insist on media duties being reserved to her and her alone. McKinlay has been in post for 8 months now.

Married to another budge stooge if I remember correctly

You need someone with a proven track record or experience of football to be doing that gig, but in typical Hearts fashion, we appoint one of Budge's sewing circle's man as chief executive. Hibs went out and got Dempster from Motherwell, Motherwell in turn look within and appoint Burrows who again knows the club and what's expected. We have one person being CEO & Chairman and then eventually just appoint her pals man who's on the burroo? Great fucking plan as always.

I liked the idea of us appointing a proper CEO. I did worry that the sfa and golf aren't the same as a high profile football club like Hearts going through turbulence and in the midst of a full fan takeover. But was willing to support the appt. Especially with Savage then arriving, which I still believe was a bit of a coup as his stock is still high down south.
But both have been neutered. I'd like to hear from Savage more as our Sporting Director. All who meet him speak positively. It's to be expected he has strong views atm. But he's never asked. Or not allowed to speak. But McKinlay. Alarm bells over the road saying his wife is a Budge pal. And already works for us as Central Services Director. Lesley Blair (Blair-McKinlay). Is that right?? And fwiw I've no idea what a Central Services Director is. Coupled with Budge talking about still doing the business plan. Why would we have someone exiting the business do our plan? Even as Chairman, if she gets that role, that's not her job, which is basically just to run The Board Meetings. Why wouldn't that be the job of a new CEO? Everything points to Budge remaining in charge with a bunch of yes people and pals (including Wallace) left to implement her plan. More than ever it's obvious we won't properly improve until Budge is gone in every sense and we then think about what fan owned means in practical terms. What Budge wants is fan owned but not fan run. ie give ME your money but shut up about what I do with it. This week can't be lost to us for driving proper change and cleaning house. All these positions should have expertise, experience and autonomy.

If she's still running the club the same way as she was in that BBC documentary, then every single on the senior management in our club is a nailed on cuck.
"You don't need to talk Andrew, this is my club" We are and will probably remain a laughing stock for many years to come - FoH running the club fills me with more fear that it does hope.

FoH should always have positioned itself as having an arm's length relationship with the club and should be able to scrutinise and hold to account whoever is in charge. It will be anyone who is a member's club soon after all and the very least you should expect is asking serious questions over the money you are handing over to Hearts each month. That it is indistinguishable from Budge and can't bring itself to point the finger at her during some of the worst episodes in this club's history is pretty damning.

No idea if true, but a Hearts fan on Facebook saying FOH Board members are not allowed to act or offer thoughts in any way that could harm and devalue the club. Making them clappy by nature and unable to criticise Budge or the running of the club.
Which if true, would totally ridicule the whole point of fans on the Hearts Board to hold them to account. We'd be as well a stuffed doll with a sewn on smile. He did say also that it only takes FOH 400 members to ask for an EGM, and they need to call one. If first point true though, the whole governance and running of the club and FOH needs torched and rebuilt from the floor up. |
